Perhaps your health is threatened by chronic diseases and you areseeking a way to reduce its impact on your life. Perhaps you want to enrich your knowledge of nutrition but there is too much information from too many sources. Perhaps you have already decided to improve your diet but do not know how to get started. Perhaps you need a trigger to motivate yourself.
If you find yourself in any of these situations, we recommend that you join the 21-Day Health Challenge.
This free online platform is run by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), which is a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. This platform is based entirely on results of advance scientific research and the 21-day diet plan is supported by daily e-tips, nutrition webcasts and a cooking demonstration channel. The platform also offers celebrity tips for guidance and inspiration, as well as social support through a message board where there are more resources regarding nutritional knowledge.
Since 2009, over 300,000 people have participated in different language versions of the 21-Day Health Challenge. Many have gained incredible results.
In March 2014, PCRM, together with the Hong Kong Vegan Association, Hong Kong Vegetarian Society, Green Living Education Foundation Ltd and Veggie Mountain plans to launch the 21-Day Health Challenge in Hong Kong.
In addition to the informative content online, the event in Hong Kong also includes:
1. The participation of a number of health conscious organizations that will make themselves available for face-to-face communication
2. The support of actors Jackie Lui and Jiing Mak, who will share their vegetarian experiences during the event
3. The sharing of knowledge by physicians and dietitians
4. The provision of a large number of healthy recipes offered by vegan-friendly restaurants
